The Explorer is a versatile general-use bushcraft knife. It is the first knife Cody designed and remains one of the most requested models. The blade is long enough for batonning through wood logs and slicing food, but is also short enough for controlled woodworking. The rugged drop-point blade shape has a little more blade "belly" than the Mountaineer. Paired with the ergonomic coke bottle contoured handle, this knife is a well-rounded knife which is excellent for use in the wilderness.
Extreme Tapered Tang: This is a type of tapered tang I used to do only on request. On the pommel end, the taper is as thin as possible. This creates a unique balance where the knife almost feels like a stick-tang in the hand, and is quite a bit lighter than even a normal taper. This is rare because it is quite tricky to execute accurately.
